SAVE   DEC. 7, 1941   EWA  FIELD  from  the  BULL  DOZERS !

Save Ewa Field has organized this annual event to bring

attention to the long forgotten USMC airfield which was

attacked on December 7, 1941. All major Oahu, Hawaii

sites attacked on December 7, 1941 have become recognized

National Battlefields and National Landmarks, EXCEPT

for Ewa Field, which was forgotten and largely used as a

race track and trash dump after the base officially closed in 1952. The US Navy has consistently ignored Federal

Preservation Laws and public and political sentiment

and transferred the land to a developer in 2008. Since then there has been an ongoing degrading process of the World War II--December 7, 1941 battlefield site where artifacts

have been carried away or buried by site developers.

focal point for the Japanese attack force.
