Building Ewa Field

Early 1941

EWA MOORING MAST AIR FIELD, 1941

The Ewa Marines left California in January, 1941

and headed to Oahu on the carriers Enterprise and

Lexington. They docked at Pearl Harbor and off-loaded

their aircraft and vehicles and proceeded to convoy over

to Ewa Field and began constructing their base camp.
